DIRECTIONS
By car
Approximately 1 hour drive from Berlin Alexanderplatz. A11 in the direction of Stettin. Exit autobahn at Pfingstberg. Then in the direction of Gerswalde/Templin via Suckow to Flieth. The house is about 200m after entering the village on the left.
By train
The RE 3 runs every 2 hours from Berlin to Wilmersdorf station (near Angermünde) - the journey takes about 55 minutes. Continue from the train station by bike (8 km) or by bus 504 to Flieth (approx. 10 min trip).
Alternatively, you can take the train one station further (to Warnitz) and from there enjoy the nicer and quieter, but slightly longer bike route.
By bicycle
From Berlin it is about 4 hours by racing bike, depending on the speed and starting point, the route leads right through the Schorfheide Biosphere Reserve. If you like it a little more relaxed and want to turn it into a shorter trip (75km) you can take the S-Bahn to Bernau and start your journey from there, far away from the traffic of the big city. From here you can quickly get to the forest on cycle paths and ride along lakes and water canals to the hilly Uckermark. Duration about 3-4 hours.
